Everett fellows from previous years developed a map, where nonprofits explore tech solutions systematically.

Through several iterations and a transfer to a digital domain, it has now been made into a website.

Frequently asked questions

WHAT IS "UoT"?

UoT is an abbreviation for the Universe of Technology. The title implies that technology is a vast universe awaiting users to explore and discover their own solutions. With minimal guidance from the UoT team, a user can successfully navigate, discover, and utilize viable technology without feeling lost in a galaxy of never-ending software solutions.

HOW DOES UoT HELP?

The UoT technology map is a resource consisting of roughly 200 types of available technologies that are accessible through branching needs-based categories. By beginning with the broad and potential needs of your organization, this interactive website is personalized for you in order to align our values around your needs.

WILL THIS WORK WITH MY GOALS?

The UoT is designed as a quick self-help guide for small to mid-size organizations to explore their options before seeking time-consuming and—often expensive—professional consultation. The Map portion is designed so that it’s easy to navigate through sustainable technology solutions.

WHY IS THE MAP USEFUL?

We know that personal technology consultations are time-consuming and can be expensive for a nonprofit. Access to these technologies can help to bridge the gap to have technology work for you. Through a needs-based approach, you’ll be able to hone in on all of the potential tools and applications at your disposal so that you may make an informed decision when selecting the essential tools to support your mission.

HOW DO I ASK FOR MORE HELP?

In addition to bridging the technology gap, the Universe of Technology also offers Everett Program’s Organizational Assessment & Partnership Consultations. We are seeking support and feedback from the nonprofit communities as we strive to serve your needs.
